There was no uniform badge in the U.S. Marshal service until 1941, when the “Eagle Top” variety was introduced nationwide. Prior to this, each district made its own identifying badge. This original badge was worn at the turn of the century by U.S. Marshal Wiley Green Haines in the Oklahoma Territory.
